Pokémon TCG: Vivid Voltage Card Mechanics FAQ

With the Vivid Voltage Prerelease starting today,  Play! Pokémon has provided some FAQs on certain cards play mechanics. There are no official prereleases, but these will be helpful for when the cards are legal in TCGO on November 13th. You can see a full list of cards in our previous article .  Pokémon Abilites Buzzap Generator  (Electrode) Q. When using Electrode’s “Buzzap Generator” Ability, can I attach the 2 {L} Energy cards to Electrode before it is KO’d? A. Yes, you can. Eerie Beam (Orbeetle VMAX) Q. Can you use more than one Orbeetle VMAX’s “Eerie Beam” Ability per turn? A. If a different Orbeetle VMAX becomes active you can use its Eerie Beam Ability, but each Orbeetle VMAX can only use its Eerie Beam Ability once per turn. The good folks over at PokeGuardian discovered that an Offer Up seller  Brad.McFarLand has auctions for the upcoming set including the Shiny Charizard VMAX (sv107/sv122) from the Japanese Shiny Star V . The seller also has a Shiny Lapras (sv111/sv122) and the Amazing Rares of Kyogre (21/77) , Yvetal (46/77) , and Reshiram (17/77) that were revealed today .

Kotobukiya ARTFX J Trainer Gloria and Sobble Announced

Kotobukiya has announced at Mega Hobby Expo that the next ARTFX J Pokémon figure after Cynthia , will be the Trainer Character Gloria (Yuuri) with Sobble (Messon) from Pokémon Sword and Shield. They also tweeted artwork illustrated by Hitoshi Ariga. It will be released in June of next year.

Pokémon Center Exclusive Marnie Figure

The Good Smile Company Marnie figure has officially been revealed. The Japanese Pokémon Center announced a pre-order for a new Made-to-order Marnie figure. Marni & Morpeko will be available for preorder for 14,300 yen ($137 USD) from October 30th until November 30th. The figure will be shipped in the order received starting mid June 2021. International customers can of course preorder from Amazon Japan .

Pokémon Sword and Shield: Spooky Max Raid Event

The Wild Area has now shifted in Pokémon Sword & Shield for a special limited event. From October 29th until November 1st, Ghost and Dark Pokémon have left raids and Pokémon that are spooky have started to appear. Cofagrigus, Trevenant, Mimikyu, Polteageist and Gourgeist (including shiny) will appear in Raid Dens.

The Pokémon Center website has been updated with this years Holiday Collection titled Holiday & Home. Included in this years lineup are; Stockings featuring Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur, Pikachu and Eevee Ornaments, a Moomoo Milk Bottle & Plate Set, a Throw and Pillow, and Signs featuring Delibird and Miltank. In addition any purchase will get an ornament while supplies last (excluding pre-orders).

Pokémon TCG: Play! Pokémon Autumn 2020 Rules Update

Play! Pokémon has updated their Rules and Regulations for Autumn 2020. The only update was the addition of the Promo Card Legality Status adding the upcoming Sword and Shield Promo Cards coming to the TCG. The three promo cards from the Fall 2020 Treasure Chest are not listed, meaning they may not be Black Star Promos and instead are alternate holos of the previously released Rillaboom, Cinderace and Inteleon. Update After posting Play! Pokémon released the updated banned list effective November 27th. The next announcement will be on February 4th 2021.

Pokémon Café Mix: Special Customer Gengar

The next Special Guest has revealed for Pokémon Café Mix through the Pokémon Fan magazine. From November 4th until November 18th, Gengar will start to appear in the Café as a Special Customer. Until then you can still obtain Bewear along with Mimkyu as part of the Halloween Team Event. Gengar clears icons and gimmicks in an X pattern, then sets off megaphone created in place of other surrounding icons. Update Along with Gengar new Orders #501-550 have been added to the game.

Pokémon Masters EX: Legendary Arena Latios

The Legendary Arena Latios event has been brought back to Pokémon Masters EX, similar to  Entei  and Cobalion . The arena runs from October 29th to November 11th. The arena is split into 3 Challenges each with 3 HP bars, and by reducing each of Latios's HP bars to 0% players trainers will receive rewards. How To Get the Galarian Legendary Birds in Pokémon in Sword & Shield The Crown Tundra

Showing how to get the Legendary Bird Trio, Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, Galarian Moltres in the new  Sword and Shield The Crown Tundra  Expansion. Something not mentioned in my video is I saw somebody setup Camp in the Wild Area where Zapdos might appear and when you leave camp he might spawn on top of you. New Loungefly x Pokémon Center Pin Bags

The Pokémon Center has added some new Loungefly bags to their website . Like the Sleeves and Deck Boxes these are showing Sold Out but don't appear on eBay . This occasionally occurs with new product like the Jersey released last month, but could mean they had a very limited supply and are sold out. Update As expected these are now available online. The sold out was only temporary as the items were most likely added early to the website before an inventory was added on the back-end.

New TCG Playmats, Deck Boxes and Sleeves on Pokémon Center

The Pokémon Center has added new TCG items to their website . These include Sleeves, Deck Boxes, and Playmats featuring Mew, Gigantimax Charizard, Pikachu, Galarian Ponyta, Gigantimax Eevee and Pikachu, and the Island Guardians. All of the Sleeves and Deck Boxes show sold out however don't appear on eBay , so they may not be live yet or they could be holding them for bundles with Vivid Voltage like they did with Darkness Ablaze . Update Additional Deck Boxes and Sleeves were added to the site today including Mimikyu, Psyduck, Galarian Ponyta and the Island Guardians. Similar to yesterday these are showing sold out. Hopefully it will be like the Loungefly Bags and show as in-stock soon as I believe somebody forgot to add a quantity when adding them to the site. Update 2 The Deck Boxes and Sleeves are finally showing in-stock. As most items on Pokémon Center sell out if you want them I'd grab them ASAP.

Pokémon TCG: Shiny Star V Rotom and Koffing Revealed

With the newest set in Japan Shiny Star V coming out next month, the Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel is showing off more of the new cards for the set.
