CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Pokémon Masters EX: Stamina Updates, Theme Skills and Holiday Presents

DeNA has posted their Message from the Team vol. 16. These changes include more information on the Stamina Adjustments, adding the new Theme Skills and more.

Stamina Recovery Time

At the end of December Stamina will be changed from a recovery of 1 point every 6 per minutes to 1 point every 4 per minutes.

Theme Skills

December 28th the new Theme Skills will be added to the game. This encourages players to make teams from Sync Pairs that match a certain Theme like "Kanto", "Gym Leaders", "Elite Four", "Pallet Town", "Villain", "Complicated Family", and "Sygna Suit".

A new filter function will be added to the game to allow players to filter by the Theme Skill names. In addition they will be adding a way to make it easier to find the Sync Pair you need by sorting by their initial number of ★s.

Day Care Expansion

In late December the Day Care's limit will increase from 100 to 200.

Holiday Presents

On December 24th and January 1st everyone who logs in will receive a special Holiday Presents.

Champion Stadium Updates

Johto Challenge

On December 28th the Elite Four and Champion of Johto will be coming to the Champion Stadium After this update the region featured in the Champion Stadium will periodically rotate.

Master Mode

Along with the start of the Johto Challenge the previously announced Master Mode will also be added to the game. Each Master Mode is separate and players must obtain the medal from that region before attempting its Master Mode.

Story Events

On January 1st and February 14th new Season's Greetings Story Events will be added. These events will feature Sync Pairs wearing special outfits for New Year's and Valentine's. The Sync Pairs will also be featured in a limited time Seasonal Sync Pair Scout.

Legendary Event

The Legendary Event; Pure Hearts and Rainbow Wings will return on January 4th. During the event, the level cap of Silver & Ho-Oh will be increased to 130. Similar to The Dragon that Rules the Sky and The Beast That Devours the Sky, you will be able to receive 20 Custom ★ Power-Ups.

6★ Skyla Support Rally

A 6★ Skyla Sync Pair Support Rally will begin on January 11th. By completing the Rally Missions, you can get the following ★ Power-Ups.

  • 3★ Power-Up x20
  • 4★ Power-Up x20
  • Custom Skyla ★ Power-Up x20
    • Exchangeable for Champion Spirits
