CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Pokémon Masters EX: Reward and Stamina Updates

DeNA has announced changes to some of the Stamina and Rewards in their Message from the Team vol. 15. These changes include adjusting the amount of rewards and increasing rewards to assist players just starting the game.

Reward Adjustments

Starting with Events at the end of November 5★ Power-Ups, 5★ Scout Tickets, and Move Candies will be increased.

5★ Power-Ups

  • End of Nov-Dec: 5★ Power-Up x2
  • End of Dec-Jan: 5★ Power-Up x2

5★ Scout Tickets

  • End of Nov-Dec: 5★ Scout Ticket x18
  • End of Dec-Jan: 5★ Scout Ticket x34

Move Candy Coins (all 3 types total)

  • End of Nov-Dec: Move Candy Coin x7
  • End of Dec-Jan: Move Candy Coin x10

Stamina Recovery Time

At the end of December Stamina will be changed from a recovery of 1 point every 6 per minutes to 1 point every 4 per minutes.

Champion Stadium

Master Mode will be added to the Champion Stadium at the end of December. Master Mode will allow you to select challenges and upon completing them you will receive rewards according to the options selected. Rewards include 5★ Power-Ups, 5★ Scout Tickets, and Move Candies.

Legendary Events

New and Returning Legendary Events will be coming in February. Level Caps for previous Events Sync Pairs will also be unlocked similar to The Dragon that Rules the Sky.

Future Updates

The next announcement is schedule for December. 

  • New Years Seasonal Event
  • Special Rallies in November and December
  • Debut of New Sync Pairs (possibly the hinted Galar Sync-Pairs)
