Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. "We are super excited to be adding this new family friendly product line to our catalog. We wanted to maintain the focus of Wise Wizard Games on strategy card and dice games with geeky themes, and have created Wacky Wizard Games as an umbrella for lightweight games with a more whimsical, cute vibe," shared Debbie Moynihan, COO of Wise Wizard Games. Star Realms Academy Forge your own star realms, overloaded with cuteness! A kid friendly but still fun for grown-ups version of the popular Star Realms deckbuilding game for 2 players. A little less math, no reading necessary, but still tons of fun! 

Pokémon 25th Anniversary Trailer and Announcements

The Pokémon Company released their 25th Anniversary Trailer highlighting the last 25 years of the Company. The trailer features a Rube Goldberg machine where a Pokéball rolls around setting off different elements including game cartridges, plush and toys, TCG cards, and more.

The company has also released a new website where fans can learn more about the Anniversary.

Each month the Pokémon Company will revisit a specific region, starting with Galar in March and ending with Kanto in October.

The Pokémon Company International is teaming up with other iconic brands to help fans celebrate the journey throughout the year with unique promotions and merchandise. Collaborations in the brand’s 25th anniversary year include programs from Build-A-Bear Workshop®, General Mills, Levi’s, McDonald’s, Casio, Bear Walker and more. Fans can also look forward to even more special merchandise tied to the anniversary celebrations from licensees including Jazwares, Scholastic, Mattel, Funko, PowerA, and The Wand Company. Additional partners and the ways they will celebrate the anniversary will be announced throughout the year.

Of course there is the anticipated Video Game(s) and TCG products like the McDonald's promos, Fall 25th Anniversary set and First Partner Packs.

You'll also see 25 years of Pokémon being celebrated through Pokémon animation and mobile games like Pokémon GO and Pokémon Masters EX, and there will be even more big announcements as the year goes on.

It was also revealed at the end of the trailer that Katy Perry along with other artists will be participating in P25 along with Universal Music Group (UMG) and will be creating an original songs for the 25th Anniversary. People Magazine has an article interviewing the Pop Star. Details about Katy Perry’s participation, additional artist surprises and more about the P25 Music program will be announced throughout the year.
