Nature: Card-Based Strategy Game of Predators and Adaptation Now on Steam

Boise, Idaho – NorthStar Digital Games has officially announced that the digital adaptation of Nature, which has been called the most anticipated board game of the year, that the Arctic Tundra Module joins the Flight and Jurassic Modules in Steam on January 26th, 2026. The game is being featured in Steam's board game fest and is on sale.  The fully featured base game was released on November 5, 2025, in an industry first, the digital game releasing right after its cardboard counterpart.

In Nature, players take the lead in guiding their species through a dynamic, shifting ecosystem. The world is one of scarce food and ever-present predators, requiring a card-based strategy to adapt species and ensure their survival. Following the modular design of the physical game, the digital version allows for expansions to be added and combined, ensuring a fresh and varied ecosystem every time you play.


The game will offer a full campaign, custom challenges, online matchmaking, and local multiplayer. Players can look forward to two expansions launching day one:

  • Flight: Grants species the freedom and safety of the skies.
  • Jurassic: Introduces colossal dinosaurs and ferocious predators to the land.
  • Tundra: Introduces bitter cold and arctic traits.

The game is from the creators of the hit game Evolution, and Nature reinvents the beloved series' mechanics to offer faster gameplay, balanced strategy, and virtually endless variety.

  • Adapt to Survive: Grow your population in a world where resources are limited and danger is never far away. Species compete to survive as carnivores stalk prey and herbivores scramble for food.
  • Evolve your Species: Use powerful new traits to adapt. Develop the Fast trait to outrun predators or add Nesting to boost population growth. Traits combine and synergize, allowing for unique combinations and strategies.
  • Two Modules at Launch: The core game will launch with two distinct modules. Flight offers new ways to find food and escape danger, while Jurassic introduces massive, dominant predators.
  • Evolution Legacy: Designed by the creator of the award-winning Evolution, Nature is easy for new players to learn while still rewarding strategists with complex, emergent gameplay.
