The Wand Company Poké Ball Collection Announced

The Wand Company has announced a line of diecast Poké Ball series. The first released will be the standard Poké Ball with Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Premier Ball and other Balls planned as future releases.

The Wand Company was founded in 2009 to create the world’s first real magic wand after Chris Barnardo and Richard Blakesley had the idea of putting advanced electronics inside a traditional-looking wizard’s wand.

While highly influenced by, the wands are not official Harry Potter merchandise. TWC makes officially licensed products for Fallout, Star Trek, Doctor Who, and now Pokémon.

Each Poké Ball is equipped with touch and proximity-sensing technology, the Poké Ball’s button glows when it senses motion and glows extra brightly when the ball is touched. Pressing the button starts a Pokémon-catching illumination sequence; double-clicking it changes the light color from white to red and then green.

Pre-orders are available for the Poké Ball for $99.99 USD (MSRP) with a expected release of February 2021.
