CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Pokémon Masters EX: Race to Victory Time Trial Event

In addition to the Nate & Braviary Spotlight Scout, the previously announced Time Trial Event "Race to Victory" will be held starting November 12th. This Event challenges players to complete a time attack battle and win in the shortest possible time.

You will earn points for each clear Rank determined by the time you clear the battle. Players may attempt the event 3 times total across all 3 rounds each day and will be rewarded according to the total number of points.

There will also be an "Exhibition Match", where you can challenge the time attack as many times as you like without limiting the number of times or consuming stamina. Players will not be able to earn points, but will be able to earn emblems when you complete missions.

Special Bonuses

Using the following Sync-pairs reward a Strength and Point Bonus.

Missions

  • Achieve the designated grade or higher in time trial event areas: Grade B or higher
    • 1 Time: 5 Skip Tickets
    • 5 Times: 5 Skip Tickets
    • 10 Times: 5 Skip Tickets
    • 20 Times: 5 Skip Tickets
    • 30 Times: 5 Skip Tickets
  • Complete any of the designated areas:
    • Time Trial Round 2, Speed Challenge: Star Race to Victory Medal
    • Time Trial Round 3, Speed Challenge: 2 Star Race to Victory Medal
    • Time Trial Round 2, Time Trial Round 3 in 03:00: 3 Star Race to Victory Medal
    • Time Trial Round 2, Time Trial Round 3 in 02:00: Hasty Hero Medal

  • Time Travel Round 1: 30 Gems
    • S Rank: Under 03:30 Points = 385 Points
    • A Rank: Under 04:00 Points = 308 Points
    • B Rank: Under 05:00 Points = 256 Points
    • C Rank: Over 05:00 Points = 193 Points
  • Time Travel Round 2: 30 Gems
    • S Rank: Under 03:30 Points = 550 Points
    • A Rank: Under 04:00 Points = 440 Points
    • B Rank: Under 05:00 Points = 365 Points
    • C Rank: Over 05:00 Points = 275 Points
