CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Pokémon TCG: Shiny Star V Revealed

The next Japanese set for the Pokémon TCG is Sword & Shield Shiny Star V (s4a) has been revealed during the Champions League 2021 Yokohama Livestream. Shiny Charizard VMAX has been confirmed to be in this set. Each booster pack will come with a guaranteed Pokémon V or VMAX. It will release on November 20, 2020 and costs ¥5,500 Yen ($53 USD).

Set Description

  • 190 cards included + Secret rare cards
  • 127 Shiny Pokémon cards
  • 1 Box contains 10 packs (10 cards per pack).
  • 1 guaranteed V or VMAX per pack.
  • Several staples for players will be reprinted.
  • New cards will include V, VMAX and Supporter(s) with original concepts
  • Will contain about 300+ cards
  • Reverse Holos will have a new pattern

It's unknown if these cards will be in the Special 25th Anniversary set in February, part of our Single Strike & Rapid Strike set, or if they will use them in next year's Fall set.
