Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. "We are super excited to be adding this new family friendly product line to our catalog. We wanted to maintain the focus of Wise Wizard Games on strategy card and dice games with geeky themes, and have created Wacky Wizard Games as an umbrella for lightweight games with a more whimsical, cute vibe," shared Debbie Moynihan, COO of Wise Wizard Games. Pokémon GO: Verizon Special Weekend in US

A third Special Weekend has been announced for Pokémon GO. Previously announced were the 7-Eleven Event in Mexico and the Grubhub Event in the US. Now Verizon Wireless is having a Special Weekend of their own. Trainers will soon enjoy enhanced gameplay features (such as Verizon Sponsored PokéStops, Sponsored Gyms, and Sponsored Gifts).

Starting October 20th eligible Verizon users in the United States will be able to obtain tickets for the exclusive event. Trainers who are subscribed to Verizon mobile plans will be able to obtain a ticket by signing in to the Verizon Up app and will be available until the event day, on November 7th.

The tickets provide Trainers access to the event-exclusive Timed Research and special Pokémon attracted to Incense on Saturday, November 7th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. only in the US.

  • Timed Research will reward Incense x3, Star Piece x1, and Charizard Mega Energy x100 plus encounters with Chansey, Spoink, Absol, Bronzor, Gible, and Sewaddle.
  • The following Pokémon will be attracted to Incense during the event: Bulbasaur, Charizard, Squirtle, Pikachu, Unown V & Z, Sableye, Patrat, Minccino, and Ferroseed (including shiny).
    • Incense will also last for one hour.
  • You'll receive an exclusive event medal in Pokémon GO.
  • Eligible Verizon users will be able to unlock the Verizon Mask and Hoodie avatar items
    • More Verizon avatar items will be available at a later date
  • All Trainers will be able to receive a Sponsored Verizon Gift by spinning select PokéStops

Coming Soon

  • Select Verizon stores in the United States will become Sponsored PokéStops or Gyms
    • All Trainers will be able to spin these Verizon Sponsored PokéStops to receive Sponsored Field Research task
  • Coming in 2021, Legendary Raids will appear in Verizon Gyms
