Bardsung: Tale of the Forsaken Glade by Steamforged Games Coming Soon to Gamefound

Steamforged Games, leading tabletop games studio and publisher (ELDEN RING: The Board Game, Euthia: Torment of Resurrection, Epic Encounters, Monster Hunter World: The Board Game, the Resident Evil™ board games, and more), announces a brand new standalone Bardsung campaign game, Tale of the Forsaken Glade, coming soon to Gamefound.

Bardsung: Tale of the Forsaken Glade remasters the gameplay of the first ENNIE award-winning game for an all-new campaign. Players enter a decaying forest realm, once home to gods but now corrupted by a vile black dragon. Starting with a single tile, they will navigate its labyrinthine woods, facing twisted fae, dragon-warped cultists, and warring factions during their quest to save the forest from annihilation.

The Forsaken Glade offers deep quests, evolving storylines, and branching paths. With procedurally generated maps, no two campaigns are the same, offering myriad opportunities for exploration and strategy.

Players will face stunning and grotesque enemies that adapt to the battlefield, evolving their tactics in advanced combat puzzles. Heroes are shaped by upgrading stats and unlocking powerful new abilities, allowing for the pursuit of a specific path or multiclassing. The game can be played true solo or with up to five players, with a campaign that evolves based on their decisions.

Mat Hart, founder and Creative Director at Steamforged, said:

"We’ve been brewing Bardsung: Tale of the Forsaken Glade behind the scenes for quite a while — the artwork’s actually been hiding in the background of our videos for a couple of years now.  So, it’s awesome to finally be able to share it with players.

"This time, we’ve deepened the narrative, dialled up the meaningful encounters, and kicked combat up several notches, giving players more immersion, more challenges, and more ways to create their Bardsung legend.

The art and miniatures are stunning and grotesque in equal measure, and we can’t wait to share more."

The crowdfunding campaign will run on Gamefound, with the launch date to be announced soon. Those interested in receiving updates on Bardsung: Tale of the Forsaken Glade can follow the campaign on Gamefound to receive the Overseer, a powerful wandering monster from the game, as a free gift with their pledge.
