Mega Gengar is now in Mega Raids in Pokemon GO, replacing Mega Venusaur  just in time for Halloween . If you have collect enough Gengar Mega Energy from defeating Mega Gengar in Mega Raid Battles or by completing Limited Time Research Quests , you'll be able to Mega Evolve your Gengar. Don't forget Darkrai is in Raids until September 25th and will be replaced with Zapdos .

Niantic has announced a new event in addition to the annual Halloween event in Pokémon GO. For Trainers in Latin America they will be able to participate in The Day of the Dead special event. The event will take place from November 1st to November 2nd.

Earlier this week Niantic teased Galarian Yamask for Halloween 2020. Today they have officially announced the full details of the event. Galarian Yamask will make its Pokémon GO debut in new Halloween-themed Special Research, and completing Field Research tasks may lead to an encounter with Spiritomb (including shiny). New Raids and avatar items will also be added. In addition don't forget about the Catch Mastery: Ghost Day and the Halloween Cup . The event will run from October 23rd until November 3rd. Niantic and the official Pokémon GO Twitter are teasing Yamask's Galarian Form as  special release Pokémon for Halloween . Detaminers were able to also pull Galarian Runerigus and Galarian Ponyta from the latest build. The Pokémon Company has announced a new event in Pokémon Café Mix for Halloween. From October 21st through to November 4th, the decor of the Café will change to a spooky set up, there will be two new background music tracks and there will be special Halloween offerings in the Café. Alongside this, the next Special Customer Team Event has begun. Mimikyu will appear during this time and will require completion through the Team during this event to obtain it. Mimikyu has the ability to clear icons and gimmicks to the upper left, lower right, and diagonally. Then replace icons with the leader Pokémon.

Niantic has just announced another October Event in preparation for Halloween. The Catch Mystery: Ghost Event will be Sunday, October 25, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.

The Pokémon Center has been updated with a new selection of Hoodies just in time to keep you warm for Halloween or while playing Pokémon GO . These are French Terry Zip-Up Hoodies for $54.99, featuring Lucario, Gengar, Mimikyu, Sableye and Banette.

The Japanese Twitter has announced the Halloween event for Pokémon Masters EX. The event will be called Fight or Fright and feature Spotlight Sync Scouts for 5★ Acerola & Mimikyu and 5★ Hilbert & Mightyena. The event begins in Pokémon Masters on October 15th.

The Raid Dens in Pokémon Sword and Shield will be rotating for Halloween. The Grass and Electric-type Pokémon have left the boosted raids and various Ghost and Dark Pokémon have been added including, Gigantamax Gengar and Gigantamax Grimmsnarl. This event runs until October 31st.

Update GO Battle Night and the accompanying Flying Cup have been moved to November 5, 2020, beginning at 6:00 p.m. local time and running until November 6, 2020, at 12:00 a.m. local time. Information about the upcoming GO Battle League Season 4 has been announced by Niantic for Pokemon GO . Included in this season is a new GO Battle Night featuring the Flying Cup (1500 CP) on September 24th and a special Halloween Cup (1500 CP) from October 26th though November 2nd.
