Pokémon GO: Halloween Event

Earlier this week Niantic teased Galarian Yamask for Halloween 2020. Today they have officially announced the full details of the event. Galarian Yamask will make its Pokémon GO debut in new Halloween-themed Special Research, and completing Field Research tasks may lead to an encounter with Spiritomb (including shiny). New Raids and avatar items will also be added. In addition don't forget about the Catch Mastery: Ghost Day and the Halloween Cup. The event will run from October 23rd until November 3rd.

Features

  • Ghost-type Pokémon will appear more often in the wild, be featured in raids, and will be hatching more frequently from Eggs
  • Gengar and Sableye will be wearing costumes
    • Gengar in raids
    • Sableye in the wild and Eggs
  • Galarian Yamask will be rewarded from the Halloween 2020 Special Research, A Spooky Message Unmasked
  • Spiritomb (including shiny) can be encountered by completing certain Field Research and from the Special Research story
  • A Mega Buddy Challenge Timed Research will reward Gengar Mega Energy
  • Darkrai will be featured in Five-Star raids
  • Mega Gengar will be featured in Mega raids
  • New avatar items will be available in the Style Shop
