1st Full Look at Ant-Man - #Marvel's #AntMan Teaser

Image
The wait's over! Get your first full, official look at Marvel's " Ant-Man ," first seen during "Marvel's Agent Carter"! Watch now and see the movie in theaters July 17! You can watch the trailer below. What do you think? I personally wasn't sure about Marvel spotlighting characters like Ant-Man and Doctor Strange in a standalone movie. However with the success of the almost unknown (to non-comic readers) team that is The Guardians of the Galaxy, I think it might turn out pretty well. What I do see however is they are spotlighting these unknowns as a sort of transition into the next phase of Avengers movies starring Ant-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, and maybe War Machine. Only time will tell.

Michael Douglas has been officially cast as the original Ant-Man (Hank Pym) in Edgar Wright’s upcoming flick. We recently received official word that Paul Rudd would lead the film, but we still debated which version he would play. Well, the this latest news clears all of that up.

Marvel's Ant-Man has found its hero in Paul Rudd, who will star in the new film from director Edgar Wright hitting theaters July 31, 2015! The casting of Rudd represents the actor that Marvel and Wright had long ago identified as its first choice to play Ant-Man, continuing the studio’s desire to cast actors that bring several dimensions to its onscreen heroes.  The film’s plot is being kept under wraps.

Ultron will be played by the Emmy Award-winning actor, James Spader

At SDCC we learned that Ultron will be the major villain in the sequel to The Avengers . Marvel also informed us that Tony Stark creates him rather than Hank Pym . What we didn't know was who would be portraying the robotic villain...until now.

Joss Whedon Says Hank Pym Will Not Be In Avengers 2: Age of Ultron

With the announcement at SDCC for Avengers 2: Age of Ultron  Whedon quickly dispelled any such notions before Comic-Con was even over, definitively stating that "We’re doing our own version of the origin story for Ultron ." In a live interview that aired on Marvel.com, Whedon made the following remarks in response to reader curiosity about any connection between the miniseries and the film:

Marvel Studios and Joss Whedon surprised fans in at Comic-Con International by unveiling the title and villain of the final movie in Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Fantastic Four #2 Reviews And They're Off! Original Review by  Johnkmccubbin91  at Comic Vine This series had a very good start and I'm starting to really like the Fantastic Four again (as I wasn't a fan on Jonathan Hickman's run). This series looks like it will be a lot of fun but unfortunately this issue is still setting things up. Plot This issue sees the Fantastic Four recruit the team that will replace them in case they are gone for more than four minutes.

FF #1 - Parts of a Hole Review

Image
FF #1 Review We have seen the future and it will be fantastic! In the absence of the Fantastic Four, a substitute Four, hand-picked by the real deal--Ant-Man, Medusa, She-Hulk and Miss Thing--stand ready to guard the Earth and the nascent Future Foundation for four minutes... NOW! what could possibly go wrong? Cover/Solicit - 3/5 - Would I pick-up the comic based on the solicit/cover alone? Are the alternate covers appealing? Does the solicit/cover portray what happens in the issue? Art - 3/5 - Do I personally like this artist's style? Does the artist stay true to the characters appearance? Colors/Ink/Lettering - 3/5 - Does the work blend well with the artist? Is the coloring/inking enjoyable and easy to distinguish what's happening? Can I easily read the lettering? Layout/Flow - 4/5 - Does the layout of the issue make it easy to read? Does the issue have a good flow of the plot and keep me engaged? Story - 5/5 - Weighted Triple. How well did the issue...
