CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Pokémon TCG: Silver Lance/Jet-Black Spirit Revealed

The Dummy Pack Art and additional information for the upcoming Japanese Sword & Shield set Lance of Silver and White (s6H) and Jet-Black Sprit (s6K) have been revealed.

As suspected the set will feature Calyrex as revealed from the previously filed trademarks and will be released April 23rd after Matchless Fighter (s5a).

The set will be split similar to the upcoming Single Strike/Rapid Strike set.

  • Each set will contain 70 cards + secret cards (SR cards or better).
  • 1 Booster Box includes 30 packs. 1 pack includes 5 cards for ¥4,950 JPY ($48.18 USD)

As usual International customers will be able to purchase these from Amazon Japan.

Set Information

  • Ice Rider Calyrex VMAX and Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX will be featured in the set
  • Single Strike and Rapid Strike cards will be included
  • Special Art cards Similar to the recently announced Urshiful VMAX will also be featured in this set

Merchandise

Jumbo Pack

A special Ice Rider Calyrex V or Shadow Rider Calyrex V promo card will be available in a special Jumbo Pack similar to Astonishing Volt Tackle. The pack will cost ¥990 JPY ($9.64 USD) and will contain a one of the two Calyrex cards and coin at random.

  • 2 packs of S6H Silver Lance
  • 2 packs of S6K Jet-Black Spirit
  • Promo cards (set of 3)
  • 1 Foil Pokemon V card (Ice Rider Calyrex V or Shadow Rider Calyrex V)
  • 1 Mirrorfoil Item card
  • 1 Mirrorfoil Special Energy card
  • 1 Pokémon coin (1 of 2 to collect)

Deck Boxes and Sleeves

As usual Deck Boxes and Deck Sleeves featuring both Calyrex forms will be released. The Sleeves will cost ¥792 JPY ($771 USD) and the Deck Boxes will cost ¥398 JPY ($3.82 USD).
