Wacky Wizard Games Imprint and Three New Games Announced by @wwizardgames

Image
Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. "We are super excited to be adding this new family friendly product line to our catalog. We wanted to maintain the focus of Wise Wizard Games on strategy card and dice games with geeky themes, and have created Wacky Wizard Games as an umbrella for lightweight games with a more whimsical, cute vibe," shared Debbie Moynihan, COO of Wise Wizard Games. Star Realms Academy Forge your own star realms, overloaded with cuteness! A kid friendly but still fun for grown-ups version of the popular Star Realms deckbuilding game for 2 players. A little less math, no reading necessary, but still tons of fun!

Pokémon TCG: 25th Anniversary Set Confirmed

Total Cards in the UK who is normally pretty accurate with upcoming product releases, has confirmed that in February 2021 we have a Sword & Shield mini set in celebration of Pokémon's 25th Anniversary.

So far they have only seen the product code for the Sword & Shield 4.5 portfolios. There is no addition information about what products to expect with this set.

Update 12/02/2020

The February Mini Set has been confirmed as Shining Fates.

Update 12/07/2020

The official image of the Ultra Pro Binders have now be revealed for Shining Fates.

Being a February release it is also unknown  if it will be replacing Sword & Shield's 5th Expansion or if the release will be pushed back a month for this set. Also no word on what Japanese sets will makeup this set or if it will just be reprints of Sun and Moon or Sword and Shield similar to the 20th Anniversary set Generations.

*Artwork was made by Total Cards and is not official.

There was also a McDonald's promo that was found in a Darkness Ablaze pack, so we know there will be a special 25 card mini set as well. The set is believed to be each of the starter Pokémon from all 8 Generations with the 25th being Pikachu.
