Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. "We are super excited to be adding this new family friendly product line to our catalog. We wanted to maintain the focus of Wise Wizard Games on strategy card and dice games with geeky themes, and have created Wacky Wizard Games as an umbrella for lightweight games with a more whimsical, cute vibe," shared Debbie Moynihan, COO of Wise Wizard Games. Star Realms Academy Forge your own star realms, overloaded with cuteness! A kid friendly but still fun for grown-ups version of the popular Star Realms deckbuilding game for 2 players. A little less math, no reading necessary, but still tons of fun!

Disney's @Marvel and Netflix Join Forces to Develop Four New Series and Mini-Series

I Tweeted about the Forbes.com article yesterday and their 5 reasons this is a good thing. Disney's Marvel and Netflix will join forces to develop four new live-action series plus a mini-series event based on Marvel Characters. The landmark deal brings Marvel’s Heroes of Hell’s Kitchen, led by Daredevil and Heroes for Hire, to the Netflix in 2015.

Netflix will be debuting four new television shows featuring Marvel superheroes and it will be existing in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe as the feature films and the ongoing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show. The four new shows will feature a rebooted Daredevil, Luke Cage, the Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones. Each show will run thirteen episodes a season and then combine into a mini-series entitled “The Defenders”.
Burbank, Calif. - Nov 7, 2013—The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) and Netflix Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) today announced an unprecedented deal for Marvel TV to bring multiple original series of live-action adventures of four of Marvel's most popular characters exclusively to the world's leading Internet TV Network beginning in 2015. This pioneering agreement calls for Marvel to develop four serialized programs leading to a mini-series programming event.
Led by a series focused on "Daredevil," followed by "Jessica Jones," "Iron Fist" and "Luke Cage," the epic will unfold over multiple years of original programming, taking Netflix members deep into the gritty world of heroes and villains of Hell's Kitchen, New York.  Netflix has committed to a minimum of four, thirteen episodes series and a culminating Marvel's "The Defenders" mini-series event that re-imagines a dream team of self-sacrificing, heroic characters.
Produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Television Studios, this groundbreaking deal is Marvel’s most ambitious foray yet into live-action TV storytelling.
