Star Wars First Look at 'Rebels' Cartoon

Fans at Star Wars Celebration Europe in Essen, Germany, on Saturday received a taste of what's to come in Star Wars Rebels, a new animated series due next year that takes place before the events of the original Star Wars film.

Dave Filoni, an executive producer on the show and a supervising director on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, showed some design influenced by concept artist Ralph McQuarrie.

Filoni gave a first look at the Ghost, the spaceship an unnamed main character, as well as Stormtroopers in the series and the interior of an Imperial Star Destroyer. The logo was also unveiled, showing colors (orange and black) a visual take on the suits of the X-Wing Fighter pilots in the original Star Wars trilogy. Read the official press release at Star Wars.com

And if you want to see what the series could look like, artist ENGELHA5T on deviantART who has created some awesome fan-art based on the original Clone Wars designs.
