CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Zombie Princess and the Enchanted Maze by WizKids Coming Soon

WizKids announced their upcoming release of Zombie Princess and the Enchanted Maze, a lighthearted game of undeath by Andrew Beardsley! Escape the Princess’ Bite in Zombie Princess and the Enchanted Maze.

Once upon a time she was looking for love…now she’s looking for lunch! In this new twist on the classic tale, players become chivalrous Knights, trapped in an ever-changing maze with a princess-turned-zombie! Players will place and rotate maze tiles to open up their own path to escape while slowing down their opponents. Each turn, they will also roll a die for the chance to control the Zombie Princess herself, sending her lumbering towards their opponents. If she catches one, they’ll become a Zombie Knight, and join the hunt for the other knights! 

Navigate an ever-changing maze as you try to become the first to escape the bite of the Zombie Princess! You’ll open up your own path by placing and rotating maze tiles, while trying to slow down your opponents as well!  Each turn you’ll also roll a die for the chance to control the Zombie Princess herself, sending her lumbering towards your opponents. If she reaches one, they’ll become a Zombie Knight, and join the hunt for the other Knights!

Zombie Princess and the Enchanted Maze features 48 map tiles for a nearly limitless number of maze layouts. You start in one corner of the board, and your goal is to get to your key on the other side of the maze while avoiding the Zombie Princess – or even any Zombie Knights.
