CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Pokémon Masters EX: Valentine's Event Baking Buddies

The Pokémon Masters EX Palentine's Event which adds the Sync Pairs of Serena & Whimsicott and Dawn & Alcremie has been announced for January 29th and will run until February 19th.

With Palentine’s Day coming up, Serena and Dawn decide to make some homemade treats.

When you three go to town for ingredients, you see Cheryl and an Ace Trainer in front of a store. What could they be talking about? Players can find out more in the Story Event Baking Buddies.

Item Exchange

Earn sweets by completing battles and exchange them for valuable items. There are various sweets from each battle which are needed to exchange in the shop.

Lineup Bonus

Using specific pairs during the event will reward players with additional cards.

  • Serena (Palentine's 2021) & Whimsicott x1.6
  • Dawn (Palentine's 2021) & Alcreamie x1.6
  • Lillie & Clefairy x1.4
  • Nate & Braviary x1.4
  • Other Fairy-type Sync Pairs x1.2

Example: If you place a x1.8, and 2 x1.2 sync pairs on your team, your rewards will be increased by x2.2.

  • Mission 1: Complete any area 3 times
    • Gems x50
  • Mission 2: Complete any area 5 times
    • Gems x50
  • Mission 3: Complete any area 10 times

  • Mission 4: Complete any area 25 times

  • Mission 7: Complete Banking Buddies Full-Force Battle! Round 1 (Super Hard)

  • Mission 8: Complete Banking Buddies Full-Force Battle! Round 2 (Ultra Hard)
    • 3★ Banking Buddies Medal
  • Mission 9: Complete Banking Buddies Full-Force Battle! Round 2 with 6 or fewer Sync Pairs falling to 0 HP (Ultra Hard) 
    • 4★ Banking Buddies Medal

Seasonal Scouts

The Seasonal Scouts featuring 5★ Serena & Whimsicott (Palentine's 2021) and 5★ Dawn & Alcremie (Palentine's 2021) in their Holiday attire are available from January 29th until February 19th.

Both are released with their sync grid expanded and can be raised to 6★ EX.

Players will also receive a Move Candy x1 with the first Sync Pair Scout x11. The Paid Daily Discount Scout can be performed 1 per day.

About Serena & Whimsicott

In her dessert-themed outfit, Serena lowers the Speed of all opponents while attacking with her allies!

About Dawn & Alcremie

Dressed for making sweets, Dawn gains the upper hand by proactively lowering the stats of her opponents!

Paid Tier Scout

Similar to the New Years Event, there is a Tier Scout. Completing Tier 5 will provide a 5★ Great Scout Ticket for a 25% pull rate, and completing Tier 10 will provide a 5★ Master Scout Ticket for a 100% pull rate.
