CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Pokémon Sword and Shield: Zarude Distribution

Yesterday it was announced that Zarude with Cape would be given to Pokémon The Movie Coco attendees. Today we learn that GameStop in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be distributing the normal version.

Codes can be redeemed until March 31st 2021

  • Americas (US, Canada, Latin America) - Through the Pokémon Trainers Club Newsletter. Sign up by November 20th to receive it in December
  • UK - GAME Stores (where open), GAME Online store soon
  • Germany - GameStop - In-Store now, Online from December 1st
  • Austria, Switzerland - GameStop - In-Store now
  • Italy - GameStop
  • Belgium, Netherlands - GameMania - Sign up on their website, codes sent out every Friday
  • France - Micromania - Sign up on their website to get a code
  • Portugal - FNAC Stores
  • Ireland - GameStop Website

This distribution will tie in with the release of the new TCG set Vivid Voltage which contains the Mythical Pokémon. The offer will run from Novembr 13th 2020 to December 13th 2020. No further information on the Shiny Celebi or further international distributions.
