CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Pokémon GO: Battle League Season 5 Cups

Niantic has announced the start of Season 5 of Pokémon GO Battle League. Starting November 9th players will be able to participate in Season 5. Season 5 will only be three weeks long and ratings will not be used for rank progression and instead will be based on winning a certain number of battles. Season 4 rewards will be available when Season 5 starts.

Season 5 Cups

Season 5 will include special theme cups instead of the normal Great League, Ultra League and Master League.

  • Little Cup: November 9th to November 16th. Only Pokémon that are able to evolve and have not evolved even once are eligible. The CP limit is 500.
  • Kanto Cup: November 16th to November 23rd. Only Pokémon with a Pokédex number between #001 and #151 are eligible. The CP limit is 1,500.
  • Catch Cup: November 23rd to November 30th. Only Pokémon that have been caught since the beginning of Season 5 are eligible. The CP limit is 1,500.
    • Mythical Pokémon such as Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and Victini are not eligible.

Season 5 Rewards

The following are unchanged;

  • There will not be a walking requirement in order to battle in the GO Battle League.
  • The Friendship level requirement for battling remotely will remain at Good Friends.
  • The avatar items inspired by Pikachu Libre will continue to be rank 7 rewards.
  • You can still encounter Pikachu Libre once you’ve reached rank 10.
  • The end-of-season rewards will be similar to those in Season 4.
  • Stardust from rank 1 to rank 3
  • Stardust, TMs, and a Premium Battle Pass from rank 4 to rank 10

Changes coming to the GO Battle League for Season 5;

  • Rank 7 and higher will have a chance to encounter Legendary Pokémon on the GO Battle League rewards tracks.
  • Rank progression during this season will be based on effort rather than ratings.
    • To reach rank 2, you must complete a certain number of battles
    • To reach ranks 3 through 10, you must win a certain number of battles
  • Finishing Season 5 at rank 7 or higher, will reward an Elite Charged TM rather than an Elite Fast TM.

Attacks Updates

  • Incinerate: will initially be available only to Kantonian Rapidash, Typhlosion, Ho-Oh, Unovan Darmanitan, and Chandelure
  • Poison Sting: will now generate more energy
  • Flame Charge: will now be teachable to Kantonian Rapidash, Entei, Emboar, and Chandelure
