CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Pokémon TCG: Coco Movie Promo Card Revealed

A new Promo (106/S-P Promo) of the Human character Coco has been revealed in the October issue of CoroCoro Ichiban!

Coco along with Zarude and Shiny Celebi will be featured in the upcoming Pokémon Movie, Pocket Monsters the Movie: Coco.

It's unclear why Coco is a Pokémon card instead of a Trainer, we will have to wait to find out more about this mysterious boy when the movie releases on December 25th.

Those who go see the movie in theaters will be able to receive the promo. This is not the only gift for theater visitors, the Official Pokémon Movie Site will make another announcement on November 13th.

Coco becomes a Pokemon card !?

A special card of "Coco", the main character of the movie. The card "Coco" has 90 HP and has the tricks of "Mori no Yobigoe" and "Tarzan Kick". Until now, there were only Pokémon cards that could battle with HP and tricks like this. This card is also classified as "Pokémon" in the card game, and it is a card that reflects the characteristics unique to Coco who are raised by Pokémon and think that they are Pokémon. The illustration is a design drawn by director Tetsuo Yajima. In the background, Zarude who raised Coco is also drawn, making it a card that you can enjoy the atmosphere of the movie.

Update: Illustration Contest

There is also an Illustration Contest running between October 15, 2020 (Thursday) -November 15, 2020 (Sunday) 23:59 JST. 

  1. Follow the official Twitter account of "Pocket Monsters the Movie Coco" (@pokemon_movie).
  2. Please get the application form from the Pokmon movie official website, Pokemon movie official Twitter, Pokémon Center Pokemon store store.
  3. Please use the illustration mount on the application form to finish the illustration with your own ideas. When applying for the "Parent and Child Award", the child is responsible for coloring the line art of Coco Zardo, and the house is responsible for adding illustrations and decorating around the line art.
  4. When the illustration is complete, scan it or take a picture and post it from your Twitter account or your Twitter account with the hashtag "#Pokemon Movie Card Iracon". If you would like to apply for the "Parent and Child Award", please post with two hashtags, "#Pokemon Movie Card Iracon" and "# Parent and Child Award".

Prizes

A total of 55 artworks will be nominated and receive a Movie Original Design and Pokémon Card Game Paper Playmat. From the nominated works there will be a "Director's Award", "Creatures Award" and "Parent and Child Award" (3 winners in total) and will win a jumbo card with illustrations of award-winning works + Pokémon goods.
