CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. Image Comics will kick off the new year with a slew of exciting creator-owned announcements


Image Comics is pleased to announce the return of IMAGE EXPO to the San Francisco Bay Area! After the success of this year’s IMAGE EXPO at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the popular media event will return on January 8, 2015 and begin the new year with a line-up of exciting creator-owned news. The event is open to all fans, comics retailers, and members of the media.

This will be an all-day event featuring such guests as Brian K. Vaughan (SAGA, Y: The Last Man), Todd McFarlane (SPAWN), Scott Snyder (WYTCHES, Batman), Emi Lenox (EMITOWN), Jeff Lemire (Green Arrow, Trillium), and Marjorie Liu (Astonishing X-Men). In addition, there will be special surprise guests in attendance.

Tickets to the event are now available for sale. General admission tickets are $20, Premium tickets are $50 and include preferred seating and exclusive Image Comics releases. Seating is limited. Admission for retailers and members of the media is complimentary.
