District Noir by Pandasaurus Games Coming Soon

Image
Pandasaurus has announced a new 2 player set collection game District Noir is coming this summer. Preorders will start on May 19th with retail release planned for July 19th. District Noir was originally published in Japanese by Taikikennai Games in 2016 as Throne and Grail. It was then published in 2019 as Chocolate Factory by Nasza Księgarnia in Polish. The current art and theme was published last year in French by Spiral Éditions. When the time is right, gain control! At the head of the city’s largest criminal organizations, men and women fight to control territories and gain support by trying every means possible to grow their influence. Control of the District Noir, a central and highly contested area, remains the major issue that will make all the difference in dominating the city. There are two paths to victory: win over District Noir's various supports, or directly control the city’s three strategic locations. Before players can claim these, they must be played to the center

IMAGE COMICS CONGRATULATES CREATORS ON HARVEY AWARDS, THANKS FANS FOR SUPPORT

Saga and Sex Criminals creators honored at Baltimore Comic-Con

Image Comics is thrilled to congratulate Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples of SAGA and Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky of SEX CRIMINALS on their Harvey Award wins this past weekend while at Baltimore Comic-Con and thank readers and fans for all their support.

“I think the number of awards accumulated by Brian, Fiona, Matt, and Chip this year speaks volumes about how legitimately awesome these two series are,” said Eric Stephenson, Publisher at Image Comics. “As nice as the awards are, though, those accolades would ultimately be meaningless if not for the staggering amount of support for both titles from the legion of fans who have helped make Saga and Sex Criminals so successful. It really is an honor to publish such incredible work for such an amazing readership.”

The New York Times bestselling and Eisner Award-winning Image Comics series SAGA was honored with a Harvey Award for Best Continuing Series. Eisner Award-winning writer Brian K. Vaughan took home the award for Best Writer for his work on SAGA. Likewise, Eisner Award-winning artist Fiona Staples took home Harvey awards for both Best Artist and Best Cover Artist for her work on SAGA.

Eisner Award-winning series SEX CRIMINALS was honored with the Harvey Award for Best New Series. Artist Chip Zdarsky added a splash of his trademark humor to the ceremony when the presenter accepted his Harvey Award for Most Promising New Talent, saying on his behalf, “Thank you for this Most Promising New Talent award. I am 38 years old and have an ongoing struggle with impotency, so this is great news. Just great.”

Image Comics is also pleased to congratulate a number of creators who were honored with Harvey Awards for projects with other publishers, including Paul Pope’s award for Best Cartoonist for his work on First Second’s Battling Boy, Mike Norton’s award for Best Online Comics Work for his work on Battlepug, Dave Stewart's award for Best Colorist for his work on Dark Horse Comics' Hellboy: The Midnight Circus, and Matt Fraction who shares an award with David Aja’s for Best Single Issue/Story on Marvel’s Hawkeye #11.
