Cover & Solicit 5/5
Again this issue has multiple covers. The main cover for the issue is by Alice X Zhang. It's another beautifully painted cover and I'd even love to see her take on interiors at some point. The variant cover is by interior artist Elena Casagrande
(Suicide Risk, Angel, Hack/Slash) and colorist Arianna Florean
(GI Joe Cobra, The Mission), and is a very good representation of the art you will get in this issue.
Art, Colors & Inking 4/5
This issue is again drawn by Elena Casagrande with Arianna Florean on colors. Both artists do an excellent job and I can't wait to see more by them.
Layout & Flow 4/5
This issue's flow was a little off. There were moments where the passage of time seemed to be unknown, for example we see Gabby leave the train and go to her parents laundry mat and it's actually the next day. Not bad but a little confusing at first. Another minus for me was a lot of dialogue instead of letting the art tell the story. Otherwise the art flow and the story was easy to read and enjoyable.

The Tenth Doctor is written by Nick Abadzis
(2000 AD, Deadline USA, Doctor Who Magazine). The Tenth Doctor's story continues his adventure with new companion Gabby Gonzalez. We find the Doctor and Gabby fighting the enemy from last issue. The pace is fast at first and would probably have a more frantic pace if it wasn't for the dialogue slowing it down. Eventually the two are trapped and with Gabby's quick thinking by showing the being it's reflection it returns back to normal. I like how Abadzis integrated Gabby's heritage with history in this encounter. I also appreciate his Ghostbuster's reference later in the issue. It turns out the worlds has another sphere that of emotions and normally it's harmonious but dark hunters have come to disturb that harmony and take over humans. It seems the only way to stop it is for the Doctor to go thru the washing machine driven portal.
Verdict - 4.6 (9/10) - (Buy Doctor Who) SAVE 10%
I enjoyed the first issue and the story building Nick Abadzis built. Unfortunately this issue had a little too much of that same story building. I enjoy a good story but too much dialogue to explain it is sometimes a hindrance for pacing. On art duty Elena Casagrande with Arianna Florean on colors does an outstanding job and what can I say bad about Alice X Zhang's cover.... Nothing that's what. With mystery, adventure, and intrigue in true Doctor Who fashion this series is a must read for any Whovian.
