Official Extended Trailer GOTHAM - FOX BROADCASTING

The first trailer for the TV show Gotham aired last night, and it's full of all things Batman, the question is, it is what the audience wants to see? You can see the trailer below and my thoughts on the series.

I'm still hesitant about this series. Two reasons come to mind. First they are already establishing a universe on CW with Arrow and the upcoming Flash series, and it has been said that they Fox series along with any live action movie will not be tied together. To me this is what makes Marvel succeed, and why I think DC will fail again. Second is Fox. They have a bad habit of canceling shows that may not be doing great, but still are making money and even in the case of Terra Nova made a huge comback and was set for a season 2 until the exec stated they just didn't like the show. Here's the deal execs it's not if you like the show, you make shows for an audience, and there are so many out there. We don't all want to watch American Idol and MLB 24/7.

GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. This Fall on FOX!

Based upon characters published by DC Entertainment and produced by Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. Starring Ben McKenzie ("Southland," "The O.C."), Donal Logue ("Sons of Anarchy," "Terriers," "Vikings," "Copper") and Jada Pinkett Smith ("The Matrix" films, "HawthoRNe"), GOTHAM follows one cop's rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time. Executive producer Bruno Heller ("The Mentalist") wrote the pilot, which was directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the "CSI" franchise, "Nikita"). John Stephens will serve as an executive producer on the series.
