Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. "We are super excited to be adding this new family friendly product line to our catalog. We wanted to maintain the focus of Wise Wizard Games on strategy card and dice games with geeky themes, and have created Wacky Wizard Games as an umbrella for lightweight games with a more whimsical, cute vibe," shared Debbie Moynihan, COO of Wise Wizard Games. Star Realms Academy Forge your own star realms, overloaded with cuteness! A kid friendly but still fun for grown-ups version of the popular Star Realms deckbuilding game for 2 players. A little less math, no reading necessary, but still tons of fun!

@Marvel News 11/09/2013: X-Force, Thor: The Dark World, Hell's Kitchen

Marvel had a few news articles of note about X-Force, Thor: The Dark World, and their Netflix deal this week you can read about them below.

All-New Marvel NOW! Q&A: X-Force

By Paul Montgomery

The mutant Cable has spent much of his hellish life on the run, a fugitive on multiple planes, a surrogate father hunted beyond time. That changes in February as he turns on his heel and begins sprinting, stealthily, toward something. When the lid bursts wide open on a global conspiracy, Cable rallies a new X-Force squad to assert the cause of all mutants on an unprecedented scale.

Of course, this isn’t your alternate reality daddy’s vision of Utopia. Si Spurrier and Rock He-Kim paint the globe red with X-FORCE #1.

We donned a plastic sheet and spoke to Spurrier about the grisly chess game about to commence.

Marvel.com: Any collection of mutants qualifies as a band of outsiders, but you've assem-bled some true pariahs. Who's on the roll call for X-FORCE #1?

Si Spurrier: The opening line-up—and I mean that in the sense that we literally meet them mid-action, shouting and exploding and blasting superpeople’s faces off, rather than laboriously chronicling How The

Team Formed during episode one—looks like this:

Cable. As in, the extraordinarily deadly grizzled old war dog and fancier of enormoguns. Slightly grimmer than the proverbial reaper.

Psylocke. Everyone’s favorite British aristocratic psi-warrior transplanted into the body of a nin-ja. Trying her best to quit killing. Not doing very well.

Fantomex. That faux-French buckler of swashes, seducer of all and liberator of other-people’s-property. Smug at a genetic level.

Marrow. The C-lister time forgot. Damaged, crazier than a shark’s shoe, more [expletive]-kickingly awesome than a unicorn made of whisky and explosions.

X-FORCE kicks off in February 2014 from Si Spurrier and Rock-He Kim

Unlimited Highlights: Hell's Kitchen Heroes

By Ben Chabala

Excited for Marvel and Netflix’s upcoming Hell’s Kitchen-centric collaboration? Do you crave comics featuring gritty heroes of the street? The Kitchen chews people up and spits them out every single day, but Marvel Unlimited brings you five tales of four individuals who rose above the squalor and brutality and became heroes.

Before they head to your TV set, learn more about Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage!

DAREDEVIL: THE MAN WITHOUT FEAR

Matt Murdock grew up in Hell’s Kitchen. His father made his living in the ring, reluctantly breaking legs outside of it. Jack Murdock wanted more for his son than a life of violence, and pushed Matt into his studies; Matt just wanted to be a kid. Unfortunately a runaway truck and a toxic chemical cocktail end that childhood, blinding the boy but giving him enhanced senses and a new kind of radar sight. See the origins of Daredevil!

THE PULSE

Luke Cage just proposed to Jessica Jones and she doesn’t know what to say. She didn’t even have designs on marriage when the bulletproof Avenger blindsided her with the question. So, to help get her head straight she regales her newborn baby with the tale of how mommy met daddy. The Owl makes an appearance, as does Iron Fist, a warehouse full of thugs, and an old costume she still tries to forget. But will reminiscing about the past help Jess figure out her future?

IMMORTAL IRON FIST

Danny Rand might be the CEO of the Rand Corporation, a multinational, billion-dollar industry monolith, but he much prefers hitting the streets and bad guys’ faces to sitting behind a desk. That’s why, when he gets a sneaking suspicion that his new business associates might not be on the up and up, he dons his Iron Fist outfit and goes leaping across rooftops looking for answers. However, when he discovers legions of HYDRA goons want him dead, the desk job probably doesn’t look too bad.

NEW AVENGERS: LUKE CAGE

Before he joined the Avengers, Luke Cage ran with a decidedly different crowd. He picked pockets, stole cars and hurt a lot of people. But even in the bad old days he drew a line, showing a faint spark of the hero he might become. Everything changed when he went to prison for a wrong he didn’t commit and an experiment gone awry gave him super strength and unbreakable skin. He escaped his cell, but could Luke leave his life of crime behind? Witness the beginnings of the original Hero for Hire.
