CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

Image
In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. This expansion is only available at SDCC, but was highly requested by backers during the entire campaign. Godzilla Expansion for Cthulhu: D

Better Than Before

Suicide Squad has been one of the worst books in the New 52 and now with Ales Kot's arrival things are looking better than before and this looks like it can have an interesting premise. The characters finally have some interesting dynamic that you can love (not like before) but they still seem like they can't stand each other which is great.

The addition of James Gordon Jr. was something I wasn't really fond of because I was never a fan of him as a villain. It is an interesting take to give one of the best cops a son maniac but it was never played out well for me. But here Ales Kot seems to know what to do with him and the take is something worth watching.

The artwork of Patrich Zircher is always amazing and to see him do such interesting battles as the Deadshot vs. the Unknown Soldier one was great. He brings something dark, amazing and brutal with his style.

The worst thing is that even now the most annoying character is Harley Quinn. I never expected that to happen and since the start of the New 52 I have been amazed how stupid and annoying her character is. I don't like how she is all in love with Deadshot because I can't and don't want to see them together.

Green Lantern: New Guardians #21 - The Anomaly

The Templar Guardians have been locked away for millennia, but they have a VERY clear idea of what they need to do next — and of all the Lanterns in the universe, they need Kyle Rayner’s help. So it’s a shame he wants nothing to do with them! But once he sees the strange anomaly lurking at the edge of the universe, he may have no choice but to get on board with their mission...

SPACE SHARKS!

I have mixed feeling about Justin Jordan's work but I had high expectations about this issue and it was worth it. Jordan manages to jump quickly into the things how are and where Kyle is and introduces something new quite fast. I like his take on Kyle, he is not that good boy scout that he was and he has his own point of view about the Guardians and he should. He looks like a man and he sure fights like one.

Space Sharks! A big reason why you should love this issue. This was just amazingly funny and I loved the fight with them. It was just great fun action packed pages. There should be more of these space sharks and I even laughed harder when I heard that even Hal hasn't heard of them.

The pacing of the issue was kinda strange but it kinda worked. There was just too much happening in this issue and I understand that Jordan wanted the first issue to have build up,a fight and the introduction of the new villain. But it was messy.

The artwork was good but at times it seemed like it was too unreal. When Kyle was without the mask he looked normal but when his mask appears on his face the structure of his skull looked really deformed and that mask looked like it was 5 or 6 centimeters wide and just too unreal.
