Marvel has released a few teaser. Full details will be released at New York Comic Con. Until then, we can start to speculate and guess what this could possibly be about. New York Comic Con takes place this year from October 10th-13th at the Javits Center.
The first is the word
TRIAL by Brian Micheal Bendis and Stuart Immomen, Guest Reviewer
John McCubbin believes this might be the "Trial" of Scott Summers since All-New X-Men will be ending. The second image
JUDGEMENT by Bendis and Sara Pichelli he believes might have something to do with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The third was
MINDBUBBLE by Rick Remender, Pascal Alixe and Nic Klein might be a new Captain America or Buck Barnes "Winter Soldier" since Dr. Mindbubble was one of their old villains. The fourth was
RAD! by Dan Slott and Michael Allred and
John believes this might have something to do with Silver Surfer as his name is Norrin Radd, and the teaser is silver in color.
UPDATE:
It seems the guys at Marvel aren't quite done yet, they just added
CORPORATE to the list. It will be by Peter David and Carmine Di Giandomenico. Because it's during the Amazing X-Men panel we can suspect it will be mutant related. Lets hope X-Factor gets a return, or maybe X-Corporation.
UPDATE 2:
And the teasers keep coming. Marvel released another image with the words
THE END by Dan Slott and Giuseppe Camuncoli. Both are known for their runs on Superior Spider-Man and with the
solicits for Amazing Spider-Man 700.1-700.5 this December who knows what this means something about Doc Ock. Since Slott is also involved with Ultimate Spider-Man's Miles Morales, and Galactus currently over there resulting in the conclusion of the Ultimate titles this could definitely be a possibility of Galactus coming back to 616.
UPDATE 3:
We should have know Marvel wasn't done yet. Now we have another teaser image this time the word
GLOBAL with the creative team of Jonathan Hickman, Nick Spencer, and Stefano Caselli. Now the green is a little confusing, at first I was thinking Hulk and maybe do a team book like the
Agents of S.M.A.S.H. animated TV show. But there is also theory that because it's during the Avengers panel that they might be going "Global" and we will see teams from around the world. Again we will have to wait till NYCC to find out.
UPDATE 4:
Welcome to Marvel Monday where Marvel gives us more teasers for NYCC. Today's is the word
SINNER with the creative team of Charles Soule and Carlo Barberi. This last Thunderbolts book loved the color red and Soule being attached seems to give this impression as well. I'm almost thinking somebody on the team is going to do something, and the team will be hunted, similar to Thunderbolts in their glory days. Again we have to wait a few more weeks for New York Comic Con to find out.
UPDATE 5:
Marvel rele
ased another image yesterday
HIGHER by Kelly Sue Deconnick and David Lopez. This one is pretty obvious after the events that have transpired with Captain Marvel and being unable to fly that this will involve Carol Danvers. Today Marvel released the teasers for
ASSASSIN with Josh Wells and Mike Del Mundo, along with
ATONEMENT with Nathan Edminson and Phil Noto.
Guest reviewer John McCubbin thinks Assassin might have to do with Silver Sable, but thinks it could also involve Winter Soldier, and he thinks that since Atonement is written by Edminson who is popular with writing inside the Spy genre, it might involve Black Widow.
UPDATE 6: CBR Exclusives
The guys at Comic Book Resources were lucky enough to get two Exclusive Teasers
DEFEND by Ales Kot and Garry Brown, and
DESCENT by Dennis Hopeless and Kev Walker. Their thoughts are that Defend might have to do with Iron Patriot
(War Machine), and Descent might be something with the second part of Avengers Arena.
UPDATE 7:
Marvel released another teaser with
FRENEMIES by Ales Kot and Micheal Walsh. John over
at Imagination Centre believes this might have something to do with the Secret Avengers.
UPDATE 8: Newsrama
The Guys at
Newsrama also got an few exclusive peeks at the upcoming NYCC announcements with WAR by Chris Yost and Marcus To, TRUST by Al Ewing and Lee Garbet, and EXTINCTION by Same Humphries and Andre Araujo. They believe that War might have something to do with the Spider-verse given Ock-Spidey, Kaine, Venom, and Spider-Man 2099 are all running around at the same time, or the Warriors and Nova. Trust on the other hand Trust seems to be going in the direction of Mighty Avengers "Heroes for Hire". Extinction on the other hand they believe deals with Avengers A.I.
UPDATE 8.1: Newsrama
A second batch from
Newsrama includes HUNTED by Nathan Edmondson and Mitch Gerads, the second is OVERDRIVE by Felipe Smith and Tradd Moore, and the third is WRATH by Richard Isanove. Hunted is a no brainer and will most likely involve Kraven the Hunter or his family. Overdrive was a character in Amazing Spider-Man so is probably another arc. Finally Wrath seems like a Ghost Rider series, but the colors don't seem to work for that. Again I guess we will see at NYCC.
