Wacky Wizard Games Imprint and Three New Games Announced by @wwizardgames

Image
Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. "We are super excited to be adding this new family friendly product line to our catalog. We wanted to maintain the focus of Wise Wizard Games on strategy card and dice games with geeky themes, and have created Wacky Wizard Games as an umbrella for lightweight games with a more whimsical, cute vibe," shared Debbie Moynihan, COO of Wise Wizard Games. Star Realms Academy Forge your own star realms, overloaded with cuteness! A kid friendly but still fun for grown-ups version of the popular Star Realms deckbuilding game for 2 players. A little less math, no reading necessary, but still tons of fun!

Won't Regret It

Dennis Hopeless continues to build up the new team of X-Force but things are still just a tad bit slow. The issue is just for the free time of the group and how they are handling the fact that they are now wanted. Things are moving slow and we see the different activities of the team. Some of them go and drink, have sex and the others are in the middle of robot fighting. And Cable is going to see his daughter, Hope. The issue is not bad but it feels like that for these five issues things haven't developed at all.It feels like nothings has happened.

The part where we see Domino and Colossus having fun and in the end their drinking activities going to some sexy time was funny and interesting. Both of their characters were cool picks for the team and Hopeless handled pretty well their feeling about what happened with them and how things will go from now on. Their characters are good part of the team and it's cool how one of them is against killing and handles things differently and the other kills and handles things even more differently than the other.

Keep It Going

Red She-Hulk was one of the worst things Marvel has done but Jeff Parker manages to make things not so bad. I loved everything about Greg Pak's run on Hulk but making Betty Ross into a Hulk also destroyed me. I wasn't keen for the thing and things were going worse and worse but so far what Jeff Parker has been doing with the character into her own ongoing now and back in to Hulk quickly caught my attention and she managed to become a likable character for me.

The series are actually pretty good and it's one of the good stuff that came out of Marvel NOW! The thing is that it's almost all about the action scenes but Parker also puts up a storytelling in the issue and things combine pretty well. It's not bad and at sometimes you can feel brilliance. This is one of those issues that start-off slow but in the end you get to see the action and it's done perfectly. I love when the Hulks are having fun and are just beating up people and destroying things but sometimes it can be made in a bad way but not in this case.

Monster Night

After Cullen Bunn got on the book I was dropping the book and then picking it up again but I considered to start picking this up again because of the good ratings it's getting and this issue proves that I should continue reading it. I dropped because at first I wasn't happy with Bunn's take and where he was heading but now I like it.

The plot in this issue is about Flash Thompson who is trying to settle his life in Philadelphia but it starts out pretty badly. He feels alone and his job is not that dreamy. It's interesting to see how Flash tries to be normal again after all the things that happened to him after he became agent Venom and his new job is what we would expect actually,a coach. His students are really keen on him and so is he. He feels tired after a day at the job and I would feel the same way if I worked with teenagers.

Declan Shalvey is one of the good talents that Marvel has and I am really proud that he is on Venom. I have always liked his style and his work on Thunderbolts along with Kev Walker was pretty damn good. I enjoyed every single issue they were making and I am doing the same thing here again. His art is gritty and along with the colorist they fit the story perfectly. I like his take on Flash and Venom and the action scenes in this issue were done pretty well.
