Wacky Wizard Games Imprint and Three New Games Announced by @wwizardgames

Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. "We are super excited to be adding this new family friendly product line to our catalog. We wanted to maintain the focus of Wise Wizard Games on strategy card and dice games with geeky themes, and have created Wacky Wizard Games as an umbrella for lightweight games with a more whimsical, cute vibe," shared Debbie Moynihan, COO of Wise Wizard Games. Star Realms Academy Forge your own star realms, overloaded with cuteness! A kid friendly but still fun for grown-ups version of the popular Star Realms deckbuilding game for 2 players. A little less math, no reading necessary, but still tons of fun!

Avengers #4 - The Death and Resurrection of Major Titans

The Secret Origin of Hyperion.

The Legacy of the Garden unfolds in the Savage Land.

"We'll have to field test our theories here. NOW." --Dr. Deeds

First of His Children

The issue steps down as we see a smaller group of Avengers that are heading to the Savage Land to stop some A.I.M agents and Hyperion shines here. Hyperion is the star of the issue and he will be a big part of the Avengers of the series also.It looks like Hickman has interest in him and he is trying to make him an interesting character to us also by telling his origin in this issue in a different way. He looks like the Superman of the Marvel Universe and he needs to be more popular and I believe Hickman will do it and he will become one of the top characters of Marvel in 2013.

Adam Kubert is a good artist and I like his work a lot but the worst thing in this issue was his artwork. The inker and the colorist of the issue wasn't for his style and it didn't work. People were looking funny and they were looking kind of bland. His artwork looks bad and it is really on a lower scale than Opena's work. I really hate how Marvel titles start off with a good artist and then go out with some bad art and they ruin the situation and my mood.

Dark Avengers #186 - Back in Black

24 Hours

Jeff Parker and this time two different artists (Neil Edwards and Mirco Pierfederici) continue the adventures of the Dark Avengers in this dark alternate future of ours.

This issue we continue with the big build up for this dark alternate future world of ours and things should be actually starting to work but we are just at the same spot. I mean if you are going to build up the story you need your main characters to have more attention than the last 7-8 pages. It's interesting to see how the world went to that bad state it is in but at least should have got some of the main characters get some characterization rather than having Skaar saying 'SKAAR SMASH!'It looks like we are going to be getting more of that and less good dialogue but at times I just want this to end already.

The good part of the issue were the last pages where we see the actual Dark Avengers waking up and having Toxic Doxie explaining to them what she has done with them. That dream of Trickshot was pretty funny and that's the biggest thing we have seen from him since he became a Dark Avenger. Also to see U.S.Agent back on track and showing his leadership skills was something you should be liking, It's the best thing we are getting and it was done in the proper way. The last page where he put on his mask and said for the Dark Avengers to be ready for action was awesome.

Avengers #5 - Superguardian

Meet Smasher, the first human member of the IMPERIAL GUARD and an Avenger.

Watch as the Avengers travel across the galaxy to fight off an invading force.

Watch as the Imperial Guard are broken on a dead moon.

Jonathan Hickman continues to show us the origins of the new members of the Avengers and Smasher is actually a brand new character that we didn't know a thing about. The origin looks normal, like every superhero's origin or a guy in a comic book but it had something special in it. The end of the issue kinda made things deep and made you like the character that is Smasher. It's nothing special but it touches your heart and Hickman makes you think that she is definitely an Avenger and that is where she should be.

The problem with Kubert's artwork in this issue is gone and the colorist does his job in a perfect way. Adam Kubert finally looks like himself and his style is admirable. I love what he does and the action is great. I still want Opena back because his style is better and fits the situation better. The way he handles the Avengers is way better and I actually don't want Kubert on this at all.
