Karen Gillan Joins Guardians of the Galaxy

It's been announced by 'The Hollywood Reporter' that Karen Gillan will be joining the cast of Marvel's 'Guardians Of The Galaxy'. Gillan is probably best known as Doctor Who's companion Amy Pond from season five through season seven.

Details so far are unknown, but it's confirmed that she will be a yet-unnamed villainess alongside Lee Pace and Michael Rooker. It has been rumored that this film will involve Thanos from the Avengers Movie Easter Egg, leading some to believe Gillan could possibly play the roll of Death. I guess we will have to wait until more details are revealed.

The current cast line up includes recent addition, Glenn Close, along with Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista. James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy which begins production in late-June.
