The Transformers: Regeneration One #85 - Loose Ends; Part 5; One Will Fall! Review

Would I pick-up the comic based on the cover alone? Are the alternate covers appealing? Does the cover portray what happens in the issue?

Do I personally like this artist's style? Does the artist stay true to the characters appearance?

Does the work blend well with the artist? Is the coloring/inking enjoyable and easy to distinguish what's happening?

Does the layout of the issue make it easy to read? Does the issue have a good flow of the plot and keep me engaged?

How well did the issue further develop the current story arc? How well did the issue further develop the characters?

Verdict - 4.8

What I think: IDW is doing a great job with the Regeneration of Marvel's original Transformers. The variant covers pay tribute to the original art style as well. Unfortunately the art in the book left something to be desired. I'm not sure if it was because the crammed a lot into a small space or if they intentionally left out detail from the images. Again they may be going for that classic look but it's not really working. They story is great and we see Optimus battling Megatron. Optimus has to decide to what extreme he will go to in order to stop Megatron from destroying those he cares about and the entire planet. We also see Buster (Circuit Smasher) and the Wreckers infiltrate the Ark to shut down Auntie. I can't wait to see where they take this series considering Robots in Disguise and More than Meets the Eye are both "Robot" centered and this one takes place on Earth.

Pokémon TCG: Champion's Path Full Set List Revealed

The full Champion's Path set list has been revealed along with some interesting developements with the Rainbow Rare Charizard V from the Japanese Tournament Promo. Not only are we getting the Full Art Charizard in the ETB, we will have a Rainbow Rare VMAX, and an Alternate Art Shiny Charizard V in the set. Every booster pack of Champion’s Path will come with one guaranteed holo.
