Pandasaurus has announced a new 2 player set collection game District Noir is coming this summer. Preorders will start on May 19th with retail release planned for July 19th. District Noir was originally published in Japanese by Taikikennai Games in 2016 as Throne and Grail. It was then published in 2019 as Chocolate Factory by Nasza Księgarnia in Polish. The current art and theme was published last year in French by Spiral Éditions. When the time is right, gain control! At the head of the city’s largest criminal organizations, men and women fight to control territories and gain support by trying every means possible to grow their influence. Control of the District Noir, a central and highly contested area, remains the major issue that will make all the difference in dominating the city. There are two paths to victory: win over District Noir's various supports, or directly control the city’s three strategic locations. Before players can claim these, they must be played to the center

Gambit #5 - Under-Dressed and Under Duress Review

Gambit #5 Review

Cover - 3/5

- Would I pick-up the comic based on the cover alone? Are the alternate covers appealing? Does the cover portray what happens in the issue?

Art - 5/5

- Do I personally like this artist's style? Does the artist stay true to the characters appearance?

Color/Ink - 5/5

- Does the work blend well with the artist? Is the coloring/inking enjoyable and easy to distinguish what's happening?

Layout - 5/5

- Does the layout of the issue make it easy to read? Does the issue have a good flow of the plot and keep me engaged?

Story - 4/5

- Weighted Triple. How well did the issue further develop the current story arc? How well did the issue further develop the characters?

Verdict - 4.3

- What I think: Not really sure what to think about the cover, it's pretty basic pose, but it has no connection to the issue except the ending that shows MI13. I'm liking the art direction and coloring of the issue, it fits Gambit and the Spy/Thief vibe the series is going for. I really have no gripes about the story. It continues Gambit's ordeal with Cich who is forcing Gambit to run jobs for him (at gunpoint). My only problem is the use of Gambit's power to detect bio-organisms on a control panel. While I know he is better at controlling his power, but this seems far-fetched. Otherwise it was a good issue and can't wait to see his adventure in the UK with MI13.
