CMON's SDCC Exclusives: A Betrayal to Loyal Fans and Backers?

In recent years, CMON has built a reputation for creating some of the most beloved board games in the industry. Titles like Zombicide , Dune , Cyberpunk 2077 , Cthulhu: Death May Die , Arcadia Quest and Marvel United have garnered a dedicated fanbase, many of whom have supported these games through Kickstarter campaigns and retail purchases. However, CMON's recent decision to make exclusive content for these games available only at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has sparked significant outrage among its loyal supporters. The Exclusivity Issue At the heart of the controversy are the exclusive expansions and content for Zombicide: White Death, Cthulhu: Death May Die, and Marvel United. These exclusives include: Zombicide: White Death TMNT Expansion: Featuring comics and Rocksteady and Bebop miniatures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion. New Busou Shinki, Gundam Game Promos


The above video is the opening sequence to the upcoming Konami videogame Busou Shinki Battle Masters Mk. 2, posted by the publisher to its YouTube account. The PSP game, scheduled for a September 1 release, is based on an action figure line which ties in to a multiplayer online PC game,Battle RondoKonami announced Busou Shinki Battle Masters Mk. 2 on the same day that it released a promotional video for it at the Wonder Festival 2011 [Winter] event. The first Busou Shinki Battle Masters PSP action shipped in Japan last July.
Additionally, Sunrise's website for the Mobile Suit Gundam Memories ~Tatakai no Kioku~ ("Memories of Battle") has been updated to include both 15-second and 30-second streaming commercials. The commercials are not embeddable, but feature gameplay footage. Gundam Memories is an action game featuring characters from recent anime series, such as Gundam 00 and Gundam Unicorn, as well as older titles like Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz and the first Mobile Suit Gundam series. The game offers both a "situation mode" (following the basic storylines from Gundam 00Gundam UC, and Gundam Seed Destiny) and a "mission mode" (featuring original missions created specifically for the game). The game will ship on June 23.
