Uncanny Avengers #2 Review Divided Allegiances Original Review by Johnkmccubbin91 at Comic Vine I enjoyed the first issue in this series but it's been a longer wait than expected for the second to be released. This series has a very interesting concept putting together a team consisting of both Avengers and X-Men , and after the events of Avengers Vs. X-Men this sort of team is perfect to show how Mutant's are beginning to be accepted into the world. Plot This issue sees the aftermath of last issue with the Avengers along with Havok clearing up the mess. Meanwhile Rogue is dealing with her captors and the Red Skull is trying to persuade Scarlet Witch to join his cause.

Joss Whedon Still Using Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon last night the writer/director Joss Whedon confirmed once again that he will be using Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in Avengers 2 . "There are new characters. I already said that we’re going to have a brother/sister team, the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, who were great mainstays of The Avengers when I was reading the comics as a kid." This news comes after it was announced that Fox will also be using Quicksilver . It seems that Marvel is sticking to their guns and are going to go along with their initial plans regardless of Fox. Joss Whedon Confirms Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver for Avengers 2

In an interview at ABC's upfront presentation, IGN.com talked to the writer and director of the upcoming Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. , Joss Whedon who confirmed that he was referring to the mutant children of Magneto , and explained the he finds them interesting; "You know, they had a rough beginning," - "They're interesting to me because they sort of represent the part of the world that wouldn't necessarily agree with the Avengers . So they're not there to make things easier. I'm not putting any characters in the movie that will make things easier." He also mentioned Tony Stark's return after the events of Iron Man 3 ; "Well, I feel like in Iron Man 3, even though he (Stark) said, 'I've changed'" - "I don’t think anybody thinks he doesn't have one anymore. The question is, if The Avengers are called, does he show up? And the answer is, 'Yes!'"
